Planning for the second Sedona Winter MusicFest is well underway. Brought to you by six of this generation’s most exhilarating musicians – many of whom are artist members from the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center.
Tuesday at 4pm, learn what Christopher Walken and Nicholas Canellakis have in common. More than you might think!
Wednesday at 5:30pm join composer/pianist Michael Brown, cellist Nick Canellakis and clarinetist Alex Fiterstein for fine wine, friends and music. Seating is limited.
Thursday at 7pm experience a must from Argentina to Eastern Europe when the Festival Quintet performs music by Argentinian composer Osvaldo Golijov along with traditional Klezmer Songs and Dances.
Friday, 7pm at the Hilton Sedona Resort and Spa join the Festival Sextet for its program Virtuosi! when the extraordinary talents of each member will be showcased. Join Festival artists for a pre-concert conversation from 6:00-6:30pm. An informal ‘Meet the Artists’ reception follows with a no-host bar.
Saturday from 10-11am join us for an open rehearsal at the Hilton, and later in the day for a 2-3pm concert featuring local young musicians.
Sunday, 2:30pm at the Hilton join the Festival Sextet for its final program ‘The American Experience!’ featuring music by George Gershwin, Ernest Bloch and Antonin Dvořák.
