On April 15, you have an opportunity to take a workshop with the members of Celtic Fiddle Festival. They are on their 20th Anniversary tour and coming to Flagstaff. The workshops will be held in the NAU Performing Arts Building (#37) between 5:30pm and 7:30pm. The workshop costs $40, all of which goes to the artist. These workshops are sponsored by NAU School of Music.
Fiddlers and other melodic instruments will have the opportunity to work with Kevin Burke (Ireland), Christian Lemaître (Brittany, France), and André Brunet (Québec) and learn a tune and stylistic elements of the region. Fiddlers will be divided (kids, intermediate, advanced) and work with each fiddler for 40 minutes.
Guitar and other rhythm players will work with Nicolas Quemener (Brittany, France) for the entire time on playing in open tuning, strum patterns, chord choices and more.
