Cassie and Maggie MacDonald grew up in the beautiful province of Nova Scotia, surrounded by its long-standing musical culture and traditions. Now, using their unique upbringing as a springboard, they travel the world from the US to Canada to Europe to share their original take on Celtic music traditions. The duo combines traditional Nova Scotia fiddle tunes with practiced vocals and energetic step dancing. They have received numerous accolades for their work, such as the Galaxie Radio Rising Star award and as nominees for the Canadian Folk Music Award for “Young Performers of the Year.”
Tickets can be purchased at the Coconino Center for the Arts, Arizona Music Pro and online. The concert takes place on Wednesday, September 16, 2015. Tickets are $18 presale and $20 the day of the concert.
