Beppe Gambetta Guitar Workshop
with great food, nice wines and charming hospitality
at Blackbird Farm near Fayetteville, Texas
After years of International touring and many experiences in organizing Workshops in different parts of the World, Italian guitarist Beppe Gambetta has put together a dream workshop! Learn from master guitarists in a picturesque Texas location while enjoying delicious food, great wines and casual jamming in an artistic setting with the luxury of beautiful accommodations.
The workshop will be held at Blackbird Farm near the town of Fayetteville, Texas. The Farm is a comfortable venue where jamming and communal gatherings can go on into the evening around the fire pit.
Gourmet meals will be cooked on site by expert chef George Valtasaros, who will also pair wines with the evening meals.
Charming accommodations are arranged in the best rooms in town: high quality restored homes and inns with collections of antiques and extraordinary pieces of art.
The music teaching will include guitar classes held by Beppe Gambetta and by Texas guitar icon Brad Davis. The students will be divided into two levels: “beginners to intermediate” and “intermediate to advanced”.
Beppe will teach traditional Flatpicking style and will cover other topics such as arrangement, accompaniment and back up, crosspicking and use of open tunings, etc… Brad will bring to the workshop the knowledge from his long career as solo guitar player and as sideman, songwriter and producer (Marty Stuart, Billy Bob Thornton, Johnny Cash, etc…), deeply exploring the mechanisms of improvisation, chord progressions and the structure of some beautiful songs.
Both instructors will conduct and participate at the jam sessions after the lessons.
In the mid afternoons the guitar jamming will be combined with wine tasting and tapas followed by the evening “slow food” meals. After the evening meals there will be open mike events on the ranch stage and on Friday night the two instructors will play a concert for the students.
For the students companions there are many possible activities during the time of the lessons which can be arranged by your Blackbird Farm host, Joan Herring.
