OGDEN FRIENDS OF ACOUSTIC MUSIC HOSTS 3-DAY MUSIC FESTIVAL
Family-friendly event includes free children’s activities, workshops and on-site camping
Ogden Friends of Acoustic Music (OFOAM) will host the 8th Annual Ogden Music Festival, a 3-day outdoor music festival featuring national, regional and local performers from a variety of music genres, including bluegrass, folk, and Americana. Held at Weber County’s historic Fort Buenaventura, the family-friendly event offers on-site camping, food and arts & crafts vendors.
Free children’s activities in the festival Kid’s Zone will include Todd’s Musical Petting Zoo, a music-themed craft, games, and other arts & crafts. Other entertainment options include canoe rentals, as well as a variety of walking and biking trails surrounding the Fort. Youth 16 and under receive FREE admission to the festival.

A separate stage hosting band workshops, including workshops about guitar, dobro, banjo, bass, and vocal harmonies taught by main stage performers. Youth talent will also be showcased on the Workshop Stage.
Utah State Instrument Championships: The Ogden Music Festival is host to the Utah State Instrument Championships (USIC) with open and novice divisions in flat-pick guitar, banjo, mandolin and fiddle as well as open division finger-style guitar. Winners are eligible to compete at the National Instrument Championships which take place at the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, KA.
The Don Baker Award honoring Ron Atencio: As the face behind Mojo’s music venue in Ogden, Utah, Ron is an advocate for youth, a people-person, and an active community-builder. Ron goes to great lengths to make sure that his all-ages music venue is a safe place for everyone to relax and enjoy.
OFOAM is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization operated by volunteers dedicated to bringing live music to Ogden and providing free music education opportunities for youth. All youth ages 16 and younger get in FREE to all OFOAM events. OFOAM keeps ticket costs low to increase the opportunity for community members and families to experience a high quality, family-friendly festival experience with camping on site, and outstanding musical line-ups that appeal to diverse audiences of all ages.
