One of the best things about FFOTM are the campouts held in the spring and fall under the stars and pines of nearby Flagstaff forests. Campouts are a rare opportunity to unplug, share food, see old friends, meet new friends and mainly do a lot of pickin’. Many a tall tale has been told by FFOTM co-founder Tony Norris to wide-eyed children covered in ash and wrapped in sleeping bags like baby pigs in the blankets.
Join us August 16th and 17th at Blowout Tank for 2 days of camping, jamming, friendship and fun. We will have a potluck dinner on Saturday night, bring something to share. Please bring your own cups, serving stuff, dishes and utensils. We are not supplying a major kitchen or any dishwashing facilities, we will also NOT be supplying a main course for this campout. FFOTM will supply a very paired down setup this year consisting of portajohns, canopies, tables, trash receptacles, and a grill for anyone who wants to use it. We will supply coffee and tea service on Saturday and Sunday. We are very busy and excited to be focusing our efforts on the upcoming Pickin’ in the Pines festival, and want everyone to have a great, relaxing weekend playing music under the stars and hanging around the campfire! Please let us know if you would like to volunteer to help with campout organization in the future. Bring your friends, your family, your instruments, warm clothes and big smiles. Directions: From Flagstaff, go South on I-17, take Exit 326 – Willard Springs Road, go right and look for the FFOTM signs and happy campers.
